A couple of days in Bangkok

by abhijitraja »

I  had visited Bangkok in July, mainly to watch Liverpool's match in their Asian tour. But I also had a couple of days to spend in the city. I went around the shopping areas and also visited the temples- Wat Pho and Wat Arun.

Due to limited time, I was not able to visit the Grand Palace or the floating market.

Read what I did at : http://wanderer-abhijit.blogspot.in/2013/11/the-first-post-bangkok.html

I want to visit again and any suggestions for my next trip would be welcome.

I did something similar to you and spent a good day exploring the temples around the city. There's a lot to see obviously, but it can be done in an action packed day. Here's a quick guide in case you're interested: http://atravellersjourney.com/temples-of-bangkok/ There's a lot of gold to see, which might make you feel like a magpie :) Definitely check out the floating market if you have the chance next time and the Grand Palace on your next visit.

If you are looking for a tour operator that listens to what your travel objectives are the please consider Odyssey. As part of a six week tour of SE Asia, we wanted to see the temples in and around Bangkok as well as get a feeling for the Thai culture. Our guide “A” was excellent. She managed to show and explain (in fabulous detail) the history and magnificent sights of this area. We left Bangkok with a vast amount of new knowledge to mull over and relive.

Our itinerary had been perfectly orchestrated by Odyssey in advance of our arrival but “A” was very flexible about listening to any other interests we expressed about Thailand and she did her utmost to accommodate us in any way possible.

This was an excellent tour and we would highly recommend trusting your Asia trip to Odyssey. mobdro
