Taking my grandson and granddaughter to Washington, DC and need suggestiong

by GloriaB »

Hello

We decided on DC because my grandson is very into planes (he's 8) and so I though he'd love the Air and Space Museum. We'll also go to the National Zoo. Wondering what else is great for kids this age? My graddaughter just turned 7. We have a long weekend for the trip.

Thank you,

Gloria

They'll love visiting the U.S. Mint and seeing money printed (surefire hit with kids). Our kids also really enjoyed the Natural History Museum on the Mall. And the Spy Museum, though it's not free (like the Smithsonians) is a WONDERFUL place to take kids that age. They'll love it (and you'll find it fascinating too). That should be more than enough for a long weekend. Have fun!
