Help with neighborhood and hotel

In Seattle by the Space Needle and just went to the fabulous Chihuly exhibit: Garden and Glass. If anyone is coming to town, this is a must see. It is the same artist that did the beautiful blown glass installation at the Bellagio in Vegas.

Glad you enjoyed the Chihuly exhibit!  He certainly is a very talented artist.  I love the color and fluidity of his creations.

Besides the beautiful and expansive chandellir in the Bellagio, you can see a lot of Chihuly's art at Tacoma's Museum of Glass.  A wonderful place to spend a half day.  Check it out when you're visiting Seattle again: http://drfumblefinger.com/wrdprs/?p=1180

A genuine don't-miss for Seattle: Top Pot Donuts...

No idea what's behind the name...but some of the best donuts anywhere (and i've eaten them everywhere).

Don't remember the address, but if you follow under the monorail, it's between the downtown hotels and the Space Needle.

PHeymont,

I've heard of Pot brownies before, but not Pot donuts.

Seems the newly lax laws regarding reefer have made their way into the culinary arts!

Sorry...but it doesn't appear to be an Alice B. Toklas situation. A colleague who went to grad school in Seattle recently tells me that the reference is to the "top pot" of coffee--which is a pretty big claim, in Seattle!

I'm walking thru the Pioneer Park area and we are sitting in a beautiful tiny park with a huge waterfall. It's actually called the Waterfall Garden Park and is the sight of the first UPS office.I love it! PS: Salumi is closed until tomorrow - when I leave :( PPS: Stumbled upon the historic Arctic Club which is now a Doubletree Hotel. I would stay there in the future.
