It's still winter, but the first salvo has been fired in what appears to be a new price war for budget packages to London for spring travel. Upstart OffPeakTraveler.com just introduced a six-night package to the city on the Thames starting from just $458.
If you're one of those people who squirrel away every receipt, slip of paper, brochures, and ticket stub from every vacation intending to organize it into a scrapbook someday, this offer should be right up your alley. If you took a cruise in 2002 and still have your boarding pass, it's worth a free night at any of SuperClubs 12 properties. If you're planning on taking a cruise vacation in 2003, hold on to that pass as well.
Hong Kong and Bangkok represent totally opposite sides of the Asian vacation experience. The former British colony of Hong Kong is the upbeat, madly modern whiz-bang, shop-til-you-drop side of the coin, and Bangkok--rapidly approaching the pace maintained by Hong Kong--still holds ancient charms of its historic past with slow moving waterways and magnificent temples.

From Selena C: "What's the best method for purchase when the adult tix have been booked via frequent flyer miles? Obviously, the same flights need to be booked for the child as the parents. Unfortunately, this can be very expensive! Any ideas?"
From notes lisa: "I have been looking into tours to Italy. One outfit that looked intriguing is the Tourcrafters Group. We are considering taking their 9-day Rome, Florence and Venice tour in the spring. Has anyone dealt with Tourcrafters? If so, what did you think? Any particularly good/bad hotel/transportation experiences? Thanks."
From Kimberly Furnish: "My husband and I want to do a road trip in May starting in Quebec City and working our way up the eastern seaboard of Canada - any suggestions of must see villages/towns/sites, places to stay and how much time each destination takes to see?"
From Brian Kastner: "Below you will find an extensive list of Web sites for anyone interested in San Diego. Feel free to add your own."
From T. Townsend: "Something I know would be of interest to me (and I assume to others as wel) are votes for the top choices in places to visit--limited to England and Wales, outside of London. How about the top 3 selections in categories such as: Best Gardens, Best Castles, or Best Countryside or Seaside Areas for Driving/Walking for example. I know many of us have limited time to spend and want to make the most of it with the help of useful suggestions from you all. I narrowed the scope to outside of London, to make it not so overwhelming and because there are already a lot of London discussions posted out here.
