Maybe you visited Hawaii B.C. (Before Children), or maybe a trip to Hawaii has been the dream for years. There's no place on earth quite like this handful of sun-drenched mid-Pacific islands.
We've rounded up the latest on new hotels, late season ski deals, upcoming wine tours and more.
Traveling on the ground is a great way to get a general perspective of your tourism destination, but for a truly unique orientation, why not consider the bird's eye view from a hot-air balloon. Many of the world's most stunning landscapes and terrains can be viewed from the air.
Heralded as the best and most affordable way to see Europe, the rail systems have been a favorite of student and budget conscious travelers for years. But there's another way to see Europe that may be even less expensive. Touring by bus or luxury motor coach makes for scenic traveling and a more flexible and mobile experience that doesn't limit your view of Europe to major train stations and the neighborhoods surrounding them.

From P Hooper: "Independence Air is starting a service from Seattle, Wa to some East Coast cities including Orlando. The fares right now are very good but I don't know anything about them or their service. Any opinions would be appreciated."
From mpdale: "Does anyone have any hints for avoid"ing altitude sickness? Flying to the Colorado Rockies soon and want to avoid that first day illness that I always get. Thanks for any ideas!"
From soobrand: "Hi we are a Scottish family (kids aged 14 and 10) planning a major 3 week tour of Western America at the beginning of July. We're looking for any tips and advice on routes, places to stay and places not to be missed. Rough itinerary so far is: arrive Phoenix, on to Sedona, Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, 3 days at Lake Powell, Bryce Canyon, couple of days at Zion, on to Vegas for three days, up to Mammoth Lakes and Mono Lake, perhaps Bodie, 3 days in Yosemite, down to San Francisco, short drive down the coast as far as the Big Sur and home from San Francisco. Any thoughts on whether it would be better to do the South or North Rim of the Canyon?"
From Paula De Grand: "Has anyone heard of the organization Home Food, which the New York Times travel section mentioned in a very brief story a few weeks ago? The purpose of the organization seems to be to introduce visitors to Italian home cooks and regional ingredients. I'm planning a May trip and would like to make a couple of Home Food dinners part of my itinerary. Has anyone attended any Home Food events?"
From waterfairy33: "I'm thinking about going to the Aran Islands while on my trip in the Southwest of Ireland. I don't know much about the islands, and was wondering if anyone who has visited these magical places could share some insights."
