When I was given the chance this January to visit the town of Ogden in Weber County, Utah, I immediately took out my mittens. My last winter was spent indoors nursing a broken ankle and, this year, my hometown of New York City has seen nary a snowflake--here, then, was an overdue opportunity to experience some good snow.
Italy and France get all the wine and food-loving attention, but Spain has more than the lion's share of fine wines (I'm currently stuck on anything with the Tempranillo grape in it), fine food (from avant-garde foam creations to tapas), and opportunities for relaxing along its extensive coastline or at vineyards and spas.
Last week we left off in Marrakech and this week we travel to Fez. This place has a totally different feel from Marrakech, as you will see from the scenery, food and locals. Fez is an attack on the senses -- in a good way.

From nolajane: "I'm planning an 11-night trip all at top hotels. I'd chosen the Sol y Luna based on the description in the 2004 Frommer's Peru. Now, I see that the 2006 guide writes of price-gouging by Sol y Luna, and other guidebooks don't even mention the hotel."
From csetera: "Eighteen University students will be in Hungary (Budapest area) for a week. During this time, we would like to spend one full day doing a community service/volunteer project."
From K-Bear: "How does getting their own seat work? I've heard on various message boards and from friends that a ticket for an infant aged 0-2 is 10 percent OF the normal ticket. When we flew to Europe last summer (it was booked through a travel agent at my husband's work), they said it was 10 percent OFF."
From mguest: "I will be in India for either October or January and am spending the month in Northern India. The only places I am certain that I will be seeing are Delhi, Jaipur and Dehra Dun. I would like to do some hiking and visit some natural areas while I am in India and wondered if anyone had any recommendations for where to go."
From schorbahne: "My husband and I are planning our first trip in 11 years. I have been told that October is not a good month to go because there could be a hurricane, and that I should rather book for May."
