"America's Mud Sale Capital" is what they call this part of Pennysylvania in early March, and they're proud of it. While the ground turns to mud with the spring thaw, it's the time of year for morning auctions whose proceeds go to volunteer fire companies that come when called throughout the year.
Get out your chaps and ten-gallon hats and head out west to any of these cheap-as-dirt dude ranches. For as little as $144 per person per night you can have your lodging, all meals, and plenty of yippee-tai-yay activities, which run the gamut from simple hay rides and crafts for the kids to full-out all-day horse treks and white water rafting trips.

From Sam E.:: "Delta is the airline working with the Transportation Security Administration to run the beta tests of CAPPS11, the Computer Assisted Passenger Prescreening System. This system required background checks on all airline passengers when they book a ticket, including credit reports, banking and criminal records. Delta will be testing the system at three unnamed airports during this month. Its the first step in deploying the system in airports around the country. Delta was chosen for a boycott as it was the first airline to get in line. Go to this web site as it makes interesting reading."
From khalvorson: "My husband and I just returned from 6 nights at Chalet Maya. I can¿t say enough good things about our experience there. If you¿re looking for night life, crowded beaches and lots of activity, this is not the place for you. However, if you want privacy, lazy days, tons of beach all to yourself, lovely accommodations and great food, get thee to Chalet Maya! Truly this was the deal of the century ¿ for 6 nights, all meals, a day trip to Isla Mujeres (with a private guide who picked us up right on our beach, snorkeling and lunch), a day in Cancun, and transportation to/from the resort, we paid $1400 for two people."
From Judy Gould: "This July I will be on a cruise that stops in Corfu and Dubrovnik where no excursion is included in the cost. What are the highlights in these ports; should I just walk around near the port or higher a taxi for sightseeing?"
From Susan E.: "I live in the Napa Valley, CA wine region and am going to Paris in April. Would my french hosts love a bottle of our wine or would they be insulted? Any other suggestions in lieu of wine?"
From C.T.: "Is there any travel insurance for a healthy 80 years and above?"
