If you haven't flown within Europe in the past few years, you're in for a big surprise.
Of the many learning vacations out there, one of our favorites has long been the Classical Pursuits program conducted by Ann Kirkland on the campus of the University of Toronto's St. Michael's College every summer. This year, hoping to have their biggest program yet, it's offering two-for-one pricing when at least one of the participants is a first time attendee.
Under-12s and over-65s are the focus of discount airline ATA's current sale, which ends today and offers discounted fares for kids and seniors. It's good for flights all spring and summer, so if you're planning a family trip this summer, it's definitely worth checking out.
The change of seasons in Central America and Mexico doesn't have to mean Spring Break madness. It can be simply the chance to take advantage of lower rates and some well-earned relaxation.

From Diane Yaghoobian: "This has now happened on 4 different occasions, different airlines, heading in different directions: security takes tubes. My daughter, an artist, has had all her paints taken twice (once in Miami, once in El Salvador), and I have lost cortisone cream I packed to take with me to London before I left the US, and on my return, a long-sought hand cream, in a tube, was taken in London. They don't take toothpaste, I guess that doesn't look suspect."
From riggsie: "Aloha! I have finally recovered from paradise and have found a few minutes to report as I had promised. Traveling were my Husband, two sons (10 and 12 years old) and I. This is our 4th trip to Maui. We try to visit Maui every two years. Our boys are growing so fast and this is what our family memories are made of. This trip my brother and sister in-law and 16 year old niece from Texas decided to join us. This was their first trip to Maui."
From Susan Ulbrich: "My college freshman daughter and I have just returned from 6 nights in Istanbul and wish to share some of our experiences. We purchased a package deal listed on TravelZoo's 20 deals through Troy Tours in LA via the internet. Pior to buying the package I was able to talk to Troy and get some questions answered. One note to all prospective Turkey travelers: it will cost you $100 each for your visa payable in U.S. cash at the airport. That put a little dent in my cash reserves."
From Jenny Hart: "My husband and I just came back from a cruise. In Barbados we chose to take an independent tour. We had heard of a company Glory Tours from a friend of ours. WOW was it the best choice we could have made. Not only did we by pass all the long lines of those who had chosen to do cruise ship excursions but we had a wonderful time. Ricky was our tour guide and he kept us entertained all day with some very interesting stories from the Islands History."
From healyj: "The Euro exchange to the dollar has painted a somewhat gloomier picture for American travelers. I was wondering other than staying stateside are there any locations that offer a bigger bang for the buck like the Czech Republic or Australia, for example?"
