You know the cruise market is soft when the luxury lines start offering rates that even Joe Lunchbox can afford. Following are some of the better deals currently offered by these lines, running from the totally amazing to the "still expensive but worth it for what you get": totally top-shelf service, dining, accommodations, and (for the most part) itineraries.
The war and SARS have potential fliers huddling in their basements. Major airlines are barely staving off bankruptcy. As a challenge to this wintry climate, Delta has started a new airline flying to sunny destinations. Song promises bright colors, cheerful service, low fares and high technology on its New York-Florida routes. If that sounds a lot like JetBlue, that's not a coincidence.
Sascha Segan tries out Delta's new Song to Palm Beach, Florida, and lets you in on what's doing in the playground of the well-to-do.
How about less than $88 a night for two weeks in Switzerland, including roundtrip airfare and your own apartment across the Atlantic? Choose from a multitude of other countries as well.

From Charles Boch: "I want to warn other travellers of a scam that is being run in Mexico City by a white American man in his 40's. He is posing as a lawyer who has been robbed of his money, id and plane ticket, and needs financial assistance to help him purchase a plane ticket back."
From Jaq Taylor: "Hello! We have been to Florida with the kids about 8 years ago, but this time we are going on our own and want to go off the beaten track but safely. Can you recommend any places?"
From Jason Balrog: A friend and I are planning to lease a Peugeot from Europebycar. Has anyone had any experience with this rental company? Essentially this is a purchase and a repurchase by the rental company or by Peugeot at the end of the lease term. Is this the way a lease usually works in Europe?"
From Kim Lier: "My husband and I spent 4 nights at International house during the French Quarter Festival April 2003. After reading numerous rave reviews about the International house I reserved a room at a reasonable rate --$199/2nights, $99/following 2 nights. One week prior to our departure I emailed the hotel to confirm my reservation and the hotel responded with my reservation and a room rate increase-$319 each night!"
From kwilliam71: "Anybody know of any good ghost tours in London? I have done the usual Yahoo searches and came up with a few site, but they didn't really hook me. I'd love to hear from somebody who has been on one."
