The scrappy not-so-little-anymore British Midland Airways has joined the battle for passengers in the European market by adopting a new fare structure, based on one-way trips, with low, low fares. How does $25 from London to Amsterdam sound? London to Paris starts at only $48.

From Al: "I just bought an Entertainment coupon book for Florida. Normally, I am not the type to go spend money to save money, but this was a no-brainer. They have coupons in it for 15% off Northwest Airlines or Continental Airlines flights, which you can book directly with Northwest or Continental online."
From Denise Richie: "MLT (worryfreevacations.com) is offering reduced airfare from Minneapolis-St. Paul to three west coast cities (Seattle, San Francisco & Los Angeles) and with each paid adult fare a child (up to age 17) flies free. I am posting this on the Canada board because my family is taking advantage of the low fare to Seattle ($99 each way) and two of our kids are flying free. We'll drive North to Vancouver for our family vacation this summer. (I'm also squeezing in a cheap trip to San Francisco, under $200, my son will fly with me for free)"
From Jane M. MacGrogan: "March 2002 Just got back from a 3-week trip to Costa Rica with a side trip to Panama. We were in Costa Rica 3 years ago and loved it and decided to go back to visit other parts of the country. Our first destination was Almonds and Coral Lodge in the Manzanillo Gandoco Wildlife Refuge a 4-hour drive southeastward from San Jose to the Caribbean through banana plantations, Puerto Limon and Puerto Viejo. The Manzanillo Gandoco Wildlife Refuge extends all the way to the Panamanian border. Manatees, crocodiles and more than 350 species of birds live within the boundaries of the reserve."
From Jeanette Freeman: "We are planning to have a wedding and reception in July somewhere in or around Garmisch. My fiance is originally from Ulm, so we wanted a location not too far away--and a gorgeous snapshot of Bavaria with great culture for the many friends and family members here in America who will travel to the wedding, and to Germany for the first time."
