As fall fares unwind before us, it's always a good idea to keep an eye on Icelandair. As we reported in a column on August 8, they combine very low fares, excellent service, and an option to stop over in unique and beautiful Reykjavik. From Tranquility: "What do you think about online journals? Are they a great idea or should we be sticking to our pens and papers?"
Frommer's reader Chris Schultz shares his journeys across Peru -- from Lima to Cusco and beyond.
From Donna Udahl: "I am planning a trip to Hawaii in January 04 to celebrate our 10th anniversary. Is it cheaper to buy a package (RT air & hotel from SFO) or should I book everything separately?"
From Bonnie Lugo: "I'll be visiting China and plan to bring gifts to my hosts -- male and female (singles). Since many fine items are made in China, what do you bring from the United States that the Chinese people would want, enjoy, and consider 'valuable?' Thank you so much for your suggestions."
From jondakss: "We just got back from our honeymoon in Italy and had an amazing time. One thing we did that stood out in particular was a day bike tour of Tuscany that we did when we stayed in Florence."
From Mike Bouck: "We will be going to the Bahamas next month. On our confirmation it states that $30-$60 a day is charged for gov't taxes/tips will be charged. Is this normal for any hotel, and am I required to give more tips for the week? I also read somewhere that they expect tips."
