From travelfiend: "While in Paris, I'd like to take one-day trips to Brussels and Amsterdam using the Thalys. Good idea? Is it as easy as walking out of the train station and into the city?"
From Wild About Travel: "My friend and I may rent a car in Florence and drive to Siena with stops along the way at vineyards and surrounding towns. Can this be done in one day?"
From Rae Leaper: "Our cruise ends in Athens. We're planning to stay a week for the islands, but we don't want to spend 8-10 hours on a ferry. Hydra has been mentioned, as has Siros."
From mac63: "We'd like to explore non-touristy neighborhoods of Paris. Also, what is New Year's Eve like in the city? Are most stores and restaurants open? Is it still worth it to go to Versailles?"
From enerserve: "We'll be in Vietnam in November. How easy is it to arrange domestic flights with only one or two days in advance? Will last-minute flights increase the costs?"
