Now is the time to take advantage of the cheapest prices of the year being offered by a slew of the usual frugal suspects.
TourCrafters, the Illinois-based operator that churns out great deals, has another one in the hopper, and you'd better hop to it, too. The last time we reported on one of its exceptional ($399 to Venice), it sold out in less than a day.
A rare opportunity for West Coasters is presenting itself from Moment's Notice, that innovative last-minute firm. If you act quickly, you can get inside accommodations on the fabulous Cunard liner, the QE2, which usually sails the Atlantic or Caribbean, from just $1,334 on an 11-night sailing out of Los Angeles to Tahiti.

From Ken T.: "Just returned from my second week long trip to Tulum. Once again stayed at the wonderful Cabanas Copal. They have made great improvements and additions over the past year. I understand there were complaints earlier about construction noise but that has all ceased. There are many upgraded cabanas for those who don't quite want to rough it. Me, I'll take the sand-floor palapa cabana right on the beach any time."
From Cindy Horrell: "We visiting Florence for 1 week, but we cannot speak Italian. Should we take phrase book? We speak only English and some Spanish."
From Lemony Hills: "We've just some back from a year in Australia & NZ, and I wanted to share the following in case you get tempted to pick fruit there! 1) Don't pick bananas if you are afraid of spiders - big ones lurk there. 2) Only volunteer to pick watermelon if you are interested in bodybuilding."
From Sharon Cogdill: "I'm looking for a midwest spa for under $1000/wk. I remember one on this site a long time ago. I think it was in Kentucky but since can't find it must be mistaken. Does anyone recall or have info on lower priced spas?"
From Vegasinfant: "Does anyone know where to find info (rates, dates, etc...) about club med's "surprise" packages? The surprise is that you sign up for 7 days for about $1,000 but don't know where you'll end-up until a week before the trip. The resorts you can possibly be assigned are Cancun, Turks and Caicos, and Negril (I think). Anyway, if anyone knows where to find facts about this please let me know!"
