We all travel differently. Some people like to stay stimulated 24-7, others basically like to lose consciousness for a week. After umpteen cruises in the past eight years, I've got a pretty good idea of what traveling by sea means to me, and it's not all hot tubs and dancing girls.

From ReligBookFreak: "My wife and I are planning a trip down the Danube, and have narrowed our choices to Uniworld and Amadeus. We are mainly interested in the best possible food (similar in quality to Crystal or Radisson Seven Seas). Has anyone sailed on both Uniworld and Amadeus, so that you can compare their food and service?"
From Gaye Fann: "We are cruising on Diamond Princess in February & all the ship's tours seem sooo expensive. Has anyone made their own arrangements after they got off the ship? The ports are Sydney, Melbourne, Hobart and Tasmania in Australia; and Dunedin, Christchurch, Tauranga and Auckland in New Zealand."
From martha2: "We are planning a cruise to the Baltics and would like to know how much local currency we should have available for the different countries. Should we exchange our money before we leave?"
From LuckyB: "We have a friend that wants to cruise with us but needs a roommate. Someone told us of a cruise agency which matches people up (free of charge) or has a website to do the same. Could anyone help us with a name of an agency?"
From irieland: "That is the question. We want to do a cruise to Alaska, but I am a little scared due to the fact that I have seen Titanic far too many times. I also occasionally work with the History Channel and got to see a little snippet of a new documentary that relives the Titanic's final moments. The truth is the sinking and breaking up of the Titanic was far more horrific than ever thought! Although it's a very interesting new theory prolly not the best thing to watch while planning a cruise."
