Here's a small selection from the thousands of entrants in the 2012 Cover Photo Contest. You can enter now for a chance to have your photo on the cover of a Frommer's guidebook -- as well as $1,000 and a Tamron DSLR Lens. Four runners-up will receive $250.
New for this year: The ten most popular photos will each win a Readers' Choice Award, $100 and a guidebook of their choice. Tell your friends to vote as often as they want. Sign in to the Frommer's Community or login with Facebook. Remember to upload your photos before July 31, 2012.

Their Description: This photo was taken from the top of the Campanille overlooking St. Mark's Square in Venice. I love how colorful the yellow chairs are while the whiteness of the tablecloths creates interesting shapes. This bird's eye perspective makes artwork out of a moment of lament between two waiters having a slow lunch hour.

Their Description: While exploring Angkor Wat, I came upon these two young Buddhist monks standing in a doorway. I asked permission to take their photo, and I snapped several.

Their Description: My girlfriend hiking up one of the tallest dunes in the spectacular Namib-Naukluft National Park at sunrise. Barefoot seemed a good idea till the sun heated up and by 9am the dunes were scorching on our feet! The view however, was well worth it!
