In light of the many major airlines (American, Delta, Northwest, and USAir) that dropped their senior discounts over the last few weeks, Indianapolis-based ATA has stepped up to the plate by offering deeply discounted flights for seniors.
While their summer fare sales are pretty good, the senior fares are downright awesome.
Astounding roundtrip examples with sale fare first followed by senior fare include:
- Indianapolis to NYC: $158, but only $98 for seniors
- Chicago to LA: $178, $118
- Seattle to Charlotte: $198, $158
- San Francisco to NYC: $238, $158
Well, you get the idea. Fares are for roundtrip, off-peak travel and restrictions do apply. ATA is also offering their standard $10 off for Web heads who book online. However, and this is important, senior fares are not available online at all, period. To get the senior fares, you must be 62 or older and you must make your reservations over the phone at 800/435-9282. Qualifying seniors can also purchase one additional discount fare for a traveling companion.
