It's back! The All American Fare of only $699 roundtrip, that is, between Los Angeles and Guangzhou (formerly Canton), in southern China. Introduced originally just after the terrorist attacks on New York City and Washington, D.C. on September 11 last year, the fare is back on track with China's largest airline, China Southern.
You can get it now and you do not need advance reservations. You could purchase on the day of departure, if you like, subject to availability (and the number of seats at this price are limited, too.) There are no surcharges, you can travel alone if you wish, and tickets are good for 90 days. The fare applies to passengers originating from Los Angeles only, though additional add-on fares from other cities are available on request.
The aircraft is the latest, the Boeing 777, each economy seat being equipped with an individual crystal PTV screen with stereo headsets. The company claims to be the only China-based airline to offer a wide selection of first-run films as part of its in-flight entertainment service, with the latest Hollywood and Chinese feature films, classic 50s movies, Discovery Channel, BBC TV and V-TV.
China's largest airline for the past 23 years, China Southern serves more than 80 cities around the globe. Major vacation destinations served in China include Beijing, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Guilin, Hong Kong, Kunming, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Wuhan. International cities served in the Pacific area include Bangkok, Fukuoka, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Manila, Melbourne, Osaka, Penang, Phnom Penh, Seoul, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo.
For more information, contact your travel agent or China Southern directly at 888/338-8988 or view their Web site, www.cs-air.com/en. Important Notes: Los Angeles appears as "Los" in their site's dropdown menu. When selecting your dates, remember that the day comes first, followed by the month, then the year. This deal ends when available seats sellout.
