How to Jam for Less

Island Windjammers (tel. 877/772-4549; www.islandwindjammers.com) is offering discounted fares for sailings aboard its 12-passenger Diamant, a lovely 101-foot brigantine schooner round-trip out of St. George's, Grenada. The weekly 6-night cruises start on Nov 15, 2009. Created in the spirit of the now defunct Windjammer Barefoot Cruises, the newly formed Island Windjammers is offering the same super casual wind-in-your-hair, sand-in-your-toes adventure to uncrowded, off-beat ports like Bequia, Carriacou, Mayreau, Palm Island, Tobago Cays and Union Island. Normal fares are $1,699 per person during high season (Nov 15- May 29) and $1,599 during low season (the rest of the year), but a special fare of $1,299 per person, double occupancy, is being offered for these three sailings: Nov 29, Dec 6 and Dec 13, 2009. Rates include all meals, draft beer, wine, soft drinks and tips.
