To celebrate 60 years of cruising, Costa (tel. 800/GO-COSTA; www.costacruises.com) is offering up to 60% discounts on most Europe itineraries in 2008. The special "Diamond Anniversary Jubilee" fares start at $549 per person for 7-night itineraries. Eastern Mediterranean sailings aboard the new Costa Serena from Venice begin at just $799 per person, while 7-night western Mediterranean sailings from Civitavecchia/Rome start at just $649 per person on the new Costa Concordia. One-Day Sale: TODAY

Carnival (tel. 800/327-9501; www.carnival.com) is offering low fares during its one-day sale, Thursday May 24. For 24-hours, book a Carnival cruise and get free cabin upgrades (best available in like categories, inside to inside, suite to suite, etc.) on a variety of Caribbean, Bahamas and Mexican Riviera sailings between now and Feb 15, 2008. Fares for 3 and 4 nighters are going for as low as $229 a day; $299 a day for 5 and 6 nighters; and starting at $499 a day for 7 and 8 nighters. Certain restrictions may apply. When booking, mention fare code CP1S.

Barge on in to These Low Rates

Go Barging, a subsidiary of European Waterways (tel. 800/394-8630; www.gobarging.com), is slashing summer rates $1,000 per cabin on two of it most popular cruises: the 6-night cruise through Southern France onboard the L'Impressionniste and the 6-night cruise through historic Burgundy on sister ship, La Belle Epoque. With the discount, prices start at $3,150 per person for a Junior Suite, based on double occupancy and subject to availability.

The L'Impressionniste cruises along the Rhône River, with highlights including the Camargue delta, Rhône-Sète Canal, the Canal du Midi, and Thau Lake. Other attractions include the Roman architecture of Arles, Châteauneuf-du-Pape near Avignon, and the 13th century medieval walled town of Aigues-Mortes, where the boat moors within sight of the regions' famous pink flamingos and wild horses of the Camargue National Park.

The 12-passenger La Belle Epoque's Burgundy cruise includes medieval Auxerre, wine tasting in a 12th century wine cellar famed for its Pinot Noirs, and a visit to the beautifully preserved Châteaux de Bazoches.

Fares include all meals, wines with lunch and dinner, an open bar, and daily excursions.
