Carnival (tel. 800/327-9501; www.carnival.com) is offering a special Veteran's Day deal throughout the month of November. Active and retired military personnel can book up to three cabins for themselves and their friends and family members at discounted rates starting as low as $189 per person. Reservations must be made between Nov. 1 and 30, 2007, to qualify for this promotion, which applies to a wide range of three- to 12-night cruises departing through Dec. 31, 2008. Fares start at $189 per person for three-night cruises from Miami and four nighters from Long Beach, California. Prices start at $249 per person for five-night cruises from Mobile, Ala., and Jacksonville, Fla., while rates go as low as $279 per person for four- and five-night cruises from San Diego. And $399 per person is the starting price for seven-night cruises from Miami. Deal is valid for individual bookings only and it's not applicable with any other discounted offer. Certain other restrictions apply. Mention fare code CPM1 when booking; military personnel must provide proof of service.
