Regent Seven Seas Offers Royal Savings

These Deals are Heading North

For residents of the northeastern U.S., MSC Cruises (tel. 800/666-9333; www.msccruises.com) is offering special airfare and cruise packages. Rates begin at $1,095 per person, double occupancy for an inside cabin and include roundtrip airfare and transfers. Oceanview cabins begin at $100 more ($1,195 per person, double occupancy). The deal applies to these 11-night Caribbean and Panama Canal sailings aboard the MSC Lirica out of Ft. Lauderdale: Nov. 26; Dec. 7; Jan. 20 and 31; Feb. 22; March 5, 16 and 27; and April 7 and 18, and MSC Opera's Jan. 14; Feb. 5 and 27; March 10 and 21; and April 1 sailings. Certain restrictions apply.

The offer is valid for residents of Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York Pennsylvania, Vermont and Washington, D.C. only and expires Dec. 31. Gateway cities include Baltimore, Boston, Buffalo, Hartford, Newark, New York (both JFK and La Guardia Airports), Philadelphia, Portland, Rochester, Syracuse and Washington, D.C. Paying Peanuts for Posh

Top tier cruise line Silversea Cruises (tel. 877/215-9986; www.silversea.com) has expanded its Silver Sailing savings program to more than 40 additional voyages in 2007, for a total of 55 sailings. Reap savings of up to 50% on Vista, Veranda and Midship Veranda suites -- the line's most popular categories. Higher category suites (from Medallion to the Owner's Suite) will also offer Silver Sailing savings of up to 35%. Initially offered on just a selection of itineraries in the South Pacific and Southeast Asia, the savings incentive is now available on select cruises to the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Caribbean, South America, Africa and the Indian Ocean. Following is a sampling of the new discounted Silver Sailing voyages. The savings on these new itineraries ranges from 25 to 50% on Vista, Veranda and Midship Veranda suites, and 15 to 35% on higher category suites. A Song of Savings

The cruise will feature performances of orchestral works, vocalists and instrumental soloists. Free airfare from New York City and 16 other eastern U.S. cities is included in the rates, and there are discounted air supplements from an additional 34 cities in the Midwest and West. The music cruise also offers free shore excursions, valued up to $600 per person, and free airport/ship transfers.

The cruise starts in Venice and sails to Catania, Sicily; three ports in Spain, including Ibiza, the Balearic island, Cadiz on the southern Atlantic coast near Portugal and La Corona, a seaport city on the northeast coast; Lisbon, the Portuguese capital; and Bordeaux, a classic French city and regional wine center.
