You do have to get yourself to Turkey, but current online airfares aren't outrageous ($588 from NYC or Boston, $614 from Chicago, $664 from LA, all to Istanbul). Once there, you can take advantage of such hotel offers as rooms ranging from $37 in Tourist Class (at the Grand Yavuz) to $130 at the wonderful Pera Palas (a 5-star special deluxe place) or even $204 at the Ceylan Intercontinental (also 5-star deluxe). In Izmir, the prices range from $61 at the 4-star Superior Kaya Prestige to $143 at the 5-star deluxe Hilton. Those are per room, sleeping two persons, and including breakfast.
Among "City Pack" deals, the site's Istanbul offer is $154 per person for three days, two nights, in a double room at four-star hotels such as the Senator or the Royal. Included are three breakfasts, one lunch, all entrance fees on guided tours to Topkapi Palace, the ancient Hippodrome, Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Rustem Pasha Mosque, the Spice Bazaar and the Grand Covered Bazaar, as well as hotel taxes and service charges.
The Izmir tour is for two days, one night, again at four-star hotels, and costs $128 per person in a double room. Included in the price are two lunches, a breakfast and a dinner, entrance fees to the ancient city of Ephesus (worth a trip from the USA just for seeing this), including the House of the Virgin Mary and St. John's Basilica. Also the Old Bazaar in Izmir, as well as a castle and a museum, among other sites. Moreover, the cost covers the tours mentioned and hotel taxes and services charges, tips at hotels, restaurants and airports. (Roundtrip hotel-airport transfers also included.)
You shouldn't have to worry about the firm's reputation, as it is part of the biggest conglomeration in Turkey, Koc Holding, which owns Turkish Fiat (automobile manufacturing), AVIS Turkey, several 5-star deluxe hotels (the Divan chain amongst them) and some tour operators.
