Trafalgar Tours (tel. 800/854-0103; www.trafalgar.com) has a $200 per couple or $100 per person discount on 10-day or more air-inclusive Europe vacations booked with a deposit down by February 16, 2007. Travel is good on these deals to select European destinations such as France, Italy and Spain from May 26 to September 6, 2007. Trafalgar is offering even more savings on a deal to Andalusia. If you book one of three Spanish tours by March 2, 2007 you can receive up to $321 savings. This includes Trafalgar's ten-day, land-only Spanish Discovery Package costing approximately $1,450 after the savings. The first-rate, very deluxe tour with accommodations in four-star hotels and all sightseeing (as well as buffet breakfasts and two cultural dinners) makes stops in Madrid, Toledo, Granada and along the Costa del Sol. With air, the deal costs $2,310, and you can get the $200 off by mentioning the code AND100 when booking.
There's also a do-it-yourself fire sale on New Zealand available for travelers heading down under before then end of May. By combining a $798 roundtrip fare from California gateways to Auckland on Air New Zealand (tel. 800/262-1234; www.airnewzealand.com) with a $20 per day rental car and a city savings pass to Auckland offering up to 40 percent savings on city sites, travelers can take some pleasure from the 12 hour flight. Bookings must be made by February 28, 2007 with travel good from April 1 to May 31, 2007. The rental car deal is through Budget. It offers savings of up to $100 on rentals of seven days or more, $60 on rentals of five days or more, and $30 off three days. This allows you to see the country on your own at the lowest possible rental rates. For those staying around Auckland and the North Island, Tourism Auckland is offering a Superpass (tel. +64 9/367 6009; www.aucklandnz.com/VisitorInformation) that allows access to four of the Auckland's top sites (including the Sky Tower) over a one-month period. Adults pay NZ$69 (about USD$47) and children NZ$39. Without the pass, admission to each of the four sites on their own costs NZ$106 for adults.
Ski.com (tel. 800/778-8589; www.ski.com) has some incredibly low-priced stay and ski packages to snow-packed Colorado. A mid-season land-only ski package to Keystone, Colorado good from February 17 to March 31, 2007 starts at just $664 per person with double occupancy for four nights' accommodations and three days of unlimited skiing. The trip also includes round-trip airport transfers from the Denver airport. You don't even need a car as the hotel included in this deal is just 300 yards to the lifts. Two well-known local bars serving pub fare are in walking distance to the hotel. In addition to rooftop hot tubs offering some of the best views in town, the hotel has an on site jazz bar and restaurant.
