Attention all slope addicts, the Swiss Alps are calling you, and right now they are practically irresistible with a double shot of air/lodging/ground transportation/meal combos to luxe ski resorts.
The first takes you to altitudinous Grindelwald--one of Europe's ski meccas featuring over a hundred miles of slopes--from January 10-18, 2003. For $1,259 per person (based on the usual double occupancy), Texas-based operator Ski-Europe will fly you to out of NYC on Lufthansa to Zurich where you'll pick up your rental car to drive to the four-star Hotel Sunstar Grindelwald.
Breakfasts and dinners are also included in the price. Lift passes, equipment rental and taxes, however are not included. For complete details, click here.
Breathtaking Zermatt is the featured locale for the second discount package--also offered by Ski-Europe. You fly out of NYC again, but this time on the newly revamped SWISS to Geneva, where you hop on the train to the Hotel Perren in Zermatt for a seven-night stay. Included in the $1,238 price tag is your flight, train passage, hotel and breakfasts and dinners in the hotel. Again, lift passes and ski rentals are not included. Trip dates are January 17-25, 2003. For complete details, click here.
Other departure cities are available, and the reservation deadline is September 30. Spaces are limited to 20 persons, so be sure to act quickly if you're interested. For more information, go online to www.ski-europe.com.
