August 27, 2003 -- Enterprising Sunny Land Tours is operating two specially-low priced package tours to Belize this fall, charging only $699 for a seven-day beach package that includes roundtrip air from 14 US gateways. The list of "includeds" starts with airfare, six nights' lodging in Ocean View rooms at the Tropica Resort, domestic flights in Belize, and roundtrip airport transfers.
Tropica is a moderately-priced Belizian-style resort, right on the beach of Ambergris Cay (that's the shooting location for TV's trashy Temptation Island). Only two departure dates are available for the $699 pricetag; September 7 and November 16. Other departures in September start from $749, October dates from $799. There are nominal surcharges for the Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year periods.
