Frommers.com fans can save up to ten percent discount off beach condo rentals in Destin, home to some of Florida's best sandy shores, right along the Gulf of Mexico. A three-night stay in a one-bedroom "Summer Breeze" condo costs $353.92 after the discount -- a 7.6% reduction from the standard rental fee, for instance.

Other examples include a three-night stay at a two-bedroom "Blue Surf Townhome" at $492.80 instead of $537.60, just over 8%; and a three-night stay at a three-bedroom luxury condo at Jade East Towers goes for $952 instead of the regular $1048.32, a little over 9% markdown. These lodgings, and many more, are represented by Newman-Dailey Resort Properties, based in Destin. The location of these condos in Destin puts them right in the famed Florida Panhandle, where the sand is especially fine and white.

You have to book and stay before May 22, 2003, to get this discount. Along with the savings, you'll also receive a free "FUNtastic Recreation Program" that includes free golf, a free dolphin cruise, free water park admission, and free video rental with each night's stay. The sponsors tally this up to an "over $80 per day value."

This discount is available only when booking by phone at 800/225-7652. The caller must request the discount and have the "vacation specialist" at the other end of the line manually enter it. In other words, the discount is not automatically given by the online booking system. This discount is limited only to readers of this site, listeners to a program called Southern Sports Tonite, and partners of FLAUSA, the tourist industry group representing many of the state's top resorts and attractions. Be sure to mention Frommers.com when making your reservation.

You can find more information about the properties at www.destinvacation.com, including virtual tours. The site also offers online booking, but you won't get the discount, so why bother?
