That $899 price tag is good now through June 14 for travelers departing from New York City (JFK and Newark), Boston and Washington Dulles. The same package is offered again starting September 16 until October 31, 2002 for an extra $100. But--if you choose to book the fall dates before April 30, Amelia will shave off $50, bringing the total to $949. This includes airfare, lodgings at the Kennedy Nova Hotel in Sliema, transfers, taxes and breakfasts. A seven-night dinner plan is available for an additional $79-not to bad--to bring this all-inclusive package to $979 in spring and $1,028 in fall. Upgrades to ritzier digs are available.
A variety of tours can be had throughout the week for additional fees (of course). A full day tour of nearby Gozo (one of the three main islands) including Ggantija, possibly the oldest temple in the world, is an extra $54, including lunch. A half-day of tasting local wines runs you only $26, or you can splurge on the full-day boat run to Sicily and climb Mt. Etna for $110. Or you can choose to simply soak up the Mediterranean sun on the nearby pristine beaches.
To take advantage, you can either call Amelia International at 800/742-4591 to talk to a representative or book online at www.ameliainternational.com.
