June 16, 2003 -- Little things sometimes bring big savings. Take the new Adventurecard, for example, which can save you up to 30% on Anaheim and Orange County area accommodations, activities, dining, shopping, transportation and more. The card is free and is valid through March 31, 2004.

Savings for lodgings are available at six locations, with rooms as low as $49 at the Anaheim Desert Inn & Suites and at the Best Inn & Suites or from $79 at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Anaheim. Other hotels, including the Best Western Raffles Inn & Suites, the Comfort Inn Maingate and the Embassy Suites Anaheim North, offer a 15% discount -- mainly for weekend stays.

Three activities offer either discounts or twofers, the latter for the Festival of Arts admission. Six attractions are in on the deal, with such popular places as the Aquarium of the Pacific and Movieland Wax Museum offering $3 off admission. California Dreamin's balloon or biplane trips will give you $26 off, the Richard Nixon Library & Birthplace $1 off.

Seven restaurants offer discounts of some kind, ranging from a free dessert to 15% off lunch or dinner, including Grand China restaurant and McDonald's. Three places offer shopping discounts, among them Fashion Island and the South Coast Plaza. As for transportation, two rental car agencies (Avis and Go) offer free delivery and pick-up or unlimited mileage, while two Catalina Island ferry services offer $4 or $5 off and Allstar Tours has special prices with the Adventurecard.

As with all such offers, the terms are subject to change, and certain restrictions may apply. One offer per card per day, also, they say.
