The Bolongo Bay Beach Club on St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands has a couple of good deals going--one for kids, the other for adults. If you're willing to pay $245 per night for a room sleeping two adults and up to two kids, contact them now for their semi-inclusive continental plan. And if you're a kid twelve or under sleeping in the same room with your parents, you stay and eat free.

This plan is quite a bit cheaper than the all-inclusive, which goes for $450 per room during the same period, from now through April 21, 2003. All-inclusive means, of course, lodging and all meals with full choice of menu, unlimited beverages (including all premium brands of liquor), and hotel taxes and gratuities. Two tickets for a sunset cocktail cruise to Charlotte Amalie Harbor, valued at $45 per person, are included as well. Additional tickets can be purchased at reduced rates.

Both plans give you lodging with beach front room, free use of non-motorized watersports (such as snorkel gear, paddle boats, sunfish sailboats, etc.) with instruction, membership in the fitness center, an in-pool scuba diving lesson, use of basketball, volleyball and tennis courts, plus equipment, and nightly entertainment. Also: two free passes for an all-day sail and beach outing to St. John aboard the Heavenly Days catamaran, with lunch and open bar (valued at $100 per person). And like the sunset cruise, additional tickets can be bought at a discount.

You can get even bigger savings if you can wait until after April 21, 2003, when the shoulder season begins and prices go down. The continental plan drops to $195 per room, and the all-inclusive dips to $400, both until May 31, 2003.

The Bolongo Bay has 75 beachfront rooms lined along a crescent-shaped, palm-lined stretch of shore skirting the Caribbean. Each room has a private balcony as well as a small fridge, coffeemaker, ceiling fan, air conditioning, color cable TV, hair dryers, safe, phone, iron/board and more.
