April 28, 2003 -- Late spring and most of summer in the South may not seem, at first, that marvelous an idea. But plenty of travelers like warm weather, and even more just love good bargains when they can be found. Happily, the Baymont Inns & Suites group has slashed its prices in participating Florida and Georgia properties to as little as $45 a night, but you must stay two consecutive nights to get the deal, which works out to as little as $89 per room, plus tax.
Eleven hotels in Florida and two in Georgia are charging such rates between May 1 and August 31. 2003, with a twelfth Florida spot, in Orlando, offering three consecutive nights for $138 plus tax. Here's a list of the Baymont lodgings in on the deal:

Two consecutive nights at $99: Miami Airport and Sunrise, both in Florida.
Three consecutive nights at $138: Orlando South, in Florida.
An interesting innovation at any Baymont property is its "110% Satisfaction Guarantee." If a guest is dissatisfied with any aspect of his or her night's stay and the hotel is unable to resolve the problem, the guest will receive their night's stay for free, plus a coupon for a 10% discount on their next stay at any Baymont hotel. There are 183 locations in 31 states nationwide.
Although low-priced, the hotels feature upscale amenities not often found in competitive mid-market hotels, such as soft pillow-top mattresses, down pillows, fluffy towels, branded bath products, and free in-room bottled water.
