One package features Bora Bora for seven days from $1,389, the other Tahiti for six days from $1,379. Both include roundtrip airfare from Los Angeles.
The Bora Bora Bonanza at seven days is a bigger bargain, its $1,389 per person rate featuring five nights in a garden view room at Le Maitai Polynesia, located on a white sandy beach at Matira Point, on the island's southern trip. You finish your trip with one night at the Tahiti Beachcomber Inter-Continental, a 30-acre resort that features two freshwater horizon pools (the kind where you can't see the edge of the water) and a swim-up bar, not to mention the hotel's two restaurants. There's a single supplement of $470, and room upgrades are available starting at just $75 per person. This package is valid through November 4, 2002, with departures on Mondays.
For ten dollars less (prices starting from $1,379 per person), you get six days (five nights) in a lagoon-view room at the Tahiti Beachcomber Inter-Continental. This package, called the Tahitian Treat, features two-day trips, one to the neighboring island of Moorea (via ferry), where you get a lanai day room at the Moorea Beachcomber Inter-Continental, lunch and roundtrip hotel/dock transfers. Another day trip takes you to Tetiaroa Island, on lease to Marlon Brando, where you take a tour and have lunch. (Roundtrip airfare is part of your package.) You should be able to enjoy bird watching here, as well as the white sandy beaches and the pristine lagoons. Departures for this are on Saturdays, with a single supplement of $460. Optional room upgrades start at $75 per person, and the package is valid through December 31, 2002.
