Toronto the Good's third annual getaway scheme conjures up price-cutting on hotels, theater tickets, entrance fees to museums and other attractions, dinners and more through March 31, 2003. Some rooms are going for a low $57 a night, and that includes breakfast. The most expensive rooms run $119 per night. These are American dollars, folks.

Along with these stand alone rates for hotel stays, the Toronto Convention and Visitors Association is offering a variety of mix-n-match combinations.

A Jazz Package for two adults, starts at $139, including one night's lodging, breakfast, dinner and club cover, preferred seating at the Top o' the Senator and a CD of the guest artist?s performances. Phone Toronto Tourism at 800/205-7638 or visit www.jazzintornton.com.

More than two dozen hotels have packages that feature a room for two, free daily breakfast for two and other perks. The $57-rate is at the Comfort Hotel (15 Charles St. East, www.toronto.com/comfortdowntown), closely followed by a rate of $59 at the Madison Avenue (www.madisonavenue.pub.com) and Strathcona (www.thestrathconahotel.com) hotels. The highest rates are for the Fairmont Royal York, $119 per night (www.fairmont.com), though there are several at $99, including the Hilton (www.hilton.com), Westin Harbour Castle (www.westin.com), Marriott Eaton Centre (www.marriotteatoncentre.com), Metropolitan Hotel (www.metropolitan.com) and Sheraton Centre Toronto (www.sheratontoronto.com).

TCVA representatives are more than willing to make suggestions that match your needs. Heck, they'll make your dinner reservations for you, preorder your tickets to most attractions and try to get you the best seats in the house.

Again, phone 800/205-7638 to book any of these packages, or visit www.torontotourism.com.
