May 2, 2003 -- Discover Resorts International manages vacation homes and condos in Arizona and Colorado has come up with the idea that if you stay for Mother's Day (May 11, 2003) at one of its properties, they will give you a free vacation rental for Father's Day (June 15, 2003).
DRI has 150 fully furnished vacation homes and condominiums in Arizona and 300 in Colorado, with weekly rentals ranging from $390 to $2,800, the latter for a four-bedroom home with a pool and spa. Some of the properties are near golf courses and may include a golf view. There's a professional concierge to help you preplan activities, such as golf (with tee times), fishing, mountain biking, horseback riding, river rafting, hot air balloon rides, or making dinner reservations.
The deal is that guests who stay for Mother's Day this year get the free rental for Father's Day at any of the Arizona or Colorado properties. The free stay for Father's Day is based on the length of stay over Mother's Day, beginning with just an overnight. A weekend stay over Mother's Day, for instance, would earn a free vacation weekend rental over Father's Day at any of the participating locations. Guests on the complimentary stay are responsible only for taxes and housekeeping charges.
