April 28, 2003 -- Recognizing the desire by many families to stick within the confines of the US, Canada and the Caribbean for vacations this summer, the Radisson chain has devised a "Go Package" it thinks will entice many. The prices range from about $210 per night and up for a couple -- in some instances for a family of four.

The offer is available at participating properties from May 1 through September 1, 2003. Each package includes free breakfast for two, an upgrade to the best available room at check-in time, and a "Go Pack" with healthy snacks, munchies and more, while supplies last. Here's a sampling of locales:

At the Radisson Hill Country Resort & Spa in San Antonio, prices for a family of four start at $215. Best of all, this is the official hotel of SeaWorld, just two blocks away.

If Myrtle Beach is your kind of vacation place, the Radisson Plaza here offers a Go Pack for a family of four starting at $210 per night. The hotel is two blocks from the heart of all the town's key attractions, including the Pelicans Baseball Stadium and the Broadway at the Beach complex, which offers shopping, nightlife, movies and entertainment. If you're planning to be here around May 29, that's when the Sun Fun Festival on the Grand Strand takes place, featuring a Beach Run and a catamaran race. See more at www.myrtlebeachinfo.com.

Should downtown be your idea of fun, try the Radisson in Chicago, just half a block east of Michigan Avenue. It's less than five blocks from the Navy Pier and Lake Michigan. Prices for its Go 2 package, for two persons, start at $219.

Among other spots featuring the "Go Package" are those in Lexington, KY, official host hotel for "All the Queen's Horses" (see what keeps Elizabeth II enthralled much of the time); in Niagara Falls, Ontario, 250 yards from the Horseshoe Falls; in New York City (on Lexington Avenue); at the five Radissons in the Greater Toronto Area, on average just 20 minutes from Canada's number one amusement facility, Paramount Canada's Wonderland; or in Aruba, sited on 1500 feet of Palm Beach, the country's top shoreline, with fine white sand and deep blue ocean.
