CityPass, that neat outfit that gives you discounts to premium attractions in several major American cities, has made visiting the theme parks of Southern California a little easier. For the first time, it's offering a Southern California CityPass, covering admission to Disneyland, Disney's California Adventure park, Knott's Berry Farm, SeaWorld and the San Diego Zoo, all in one booklet giving you a 30% discount off the standard box office prices.

The adult tickets are $166, a $237.95 value, they say, while the children's book of vouchers costs $127 (for ages 3 to 9), a $181.70 value. There's even a transportation option, in which you can add an Amtrak Pacific Surfline free companion fare coupon with one full fare paid, for travel between Anaheim and San Diego, valued at $17. CityPass is guaranteeing these rates until March 31, 2004.

Along with saving you money, one of the bonus features of a CityPass is the extra time you gain since you won't have to wait in line at the main ticket offices at each park, you just buy the pass at one of the parks and you're good to go for the next two weeks--the booklets are valid for 14 days from first use, and you get one-day at each attraction per pass. That still leaves you plenty of time to get around and enjoy these family-friendly tourist meccas, all in Orange or San Diego counties.

Each attraction is open 365 days a year with the exception of Knott's, which closes closed on Christmas Day only.

CityPass also has coupon booklets to Hollywood, San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia and New York City. CityPass sells most of its products on the Web at www.citypass.com, and while there are plenty of details about the Southern California pass, this one is available only at the parks, as previously mentioned.
