There is no food available on the islands in the park. Ventura has several good places to eat. For breakfast or lunch, hit the excellent Savory Cafe & Bakery, 419 E. Main St. (tel. 805/652-7092). If you want a box lunch to go, try the Sandwich Factory, 4531 Market St. (tel. 805/650-0465). Both open before the boats leave at 7am. For a healthy lunch or dinner, try the Local Cafe, 1751 E. Main St. (tel. 805/643-0237), featuring sandwiches and wood-fired pizzas with an emphasis on local ingredients in the fare and local art on the walls.
Picnic & Camping Supplies
Food is not available on any of the islands, so you'll need to bring a picnic lunch and water for day trips, and enough food and water (1 gal. a day per person) if you are camping. You can buy supplies in Ventura at Von's grocery store, 2433 Harbor Blvd. (tel. 805/642-6761), or the Village Market (tel. 805/644-2970) in Ventura Harbor Village. There is a Big 5 Sporting Goods in Ventura at 3860 E. Main St. (tel. 805/644-0668).
