Just 2 hours to the northwest of the Tri-City is a laid-back world of Polish-style seaside vacationing. Leba (pronounced where'-ba), a sleepy, quaint fishing village with miles of sandy beaches, is one of the much-loved Baltic-shore sanctuaries valued for its clean air and clear waters. The village is also the entry point to Sowinski National Park, on the UNESCO's list of protected biospheres and famed for its "moving dunes."
Leba and the sand dunes can be done as a day trip from the Tri-City. Or, like the Poles, you could stay for a night (or 14) for low-key repose by the Baltic Sea.
