You might otherwise bypass it, because Stillwell's is the dining room for convention-friendly Northwoods Resort at the edge of the village. Despite the unmistakable hotel feel, its American/Continental menu is respectable, with something for everyone, noted attention to detail, and fair prices (rare in this mountain resort town). Another in-hotel dining option is the restaurant Bin 189 at the Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa .

Lake Arrowhead
For a mountain community, Lake Arrowhead has a few surprisingly good dining options. It's worth venturing beyond your hotel to some of the local haunts. These include the Lake Arrowhead Sports Grille, 27200 State Hwy. 189, Blue Jay (tel.) 909/744-8785, a local's favorite pub; the Royal Oak, 27187 Hwy. 189, Blue Jay Village (tel. 909/337-6018), an expensive American/Continental steakhouse; and Belgian Waffle Works, dockside at Lake Arrowhead Village (tel. 909/337-5222), a bargain coffee shop with Victorian decor, known for flavorful waffles with tasty toppings.
