Perched on a small cliff with uninterrupted views of the Pacific Ocean, this exclusive retreat is designed for relaxing and getting away from it all. The suites come in different sizes, with California-style furnishings, still-life paintings, extensive use of marble, and light neutral colors. The larger Governor suites have high ceilings, separate living and dining rooms, and terraces with private plunge pools. All rooms were remodeled in 2009. The inviting hotel pool lies just steps from the beach, where there's also a casual seafood restaurant and beach club. Service throughout is impeccable.
