A government-rated two-star hotel in the center of Annecy, minutes from the train station and Lac d'Annecy, the continually renovated du Nord is one of the town's better bargains. You'll appreciate the modernity of the soundproof rooms; 20 come with showers only, others with tub and shower. The helpful staff speaks English and can direct you to reasonably priced restaurants nearby. Breakfast is the only meal served.
