Les Olivades -- In a somewhat isolated location 12km (7 1/2 miles) north of Arles, Les Olivades Factory Store, chemin des Indienneurs, St-Etienne-du-Grès (tel. 04-90-49-18-04), stands beside the road that's signposted to Tarascon and Avignon. Because of the wide array of art objects and fabrics inspired by the traditions of Provence, it's worth your while to make a trek out here. Fabrics, dresses, shirts for men and women, table linens, and fabric by the yard are all available at retail outlets of the Olivades chain throughout Provence, but here the selection is a bit cheaper and more diverse.
