Frommer's Review
Rather than dazzle guests with an array of activities, this intimate, family-friendly resort and timeshare charms with friendliness and service. Each spacious room has two queen-size beds, and most have large balconies or terraces. The good-size bathrooms have a vanity chair and lots of counter space. Each studio has a large, shower-only bathroom and a kitchenette. The units on the second floor have much higher ceilings. Deluxe and royal superb one-bedroom suites boast a dining area, comfortable living room, and a full kitchen; royal superb rooms have two bathrooms. Guests are free to avail themselves of all amenities offered by the adjacent Casa del Mar Beach Resort.
Facilities: Restaurant; Internet cafe; bar; large outdoor pool; kiddie pool; 18-hole championship golf course nearby; 2 tennis courts lit for night play; exercise room; extensive watersports equipment/rentals; children's program; tour/activities desk; car-rental desk; Wi-Fi; shopping arcade; salon; babysitting; laundry service; rooms for those w/limited mobility.

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
