For value and location, it's hard to beat this old-timer, the first major chain property in Baltimore. It's between the 1st Mariner Arena and the convention center, a block from Camden Yards, and 3 blocks from Harborplace. Renovations were underway in 2005 and 2006, renewing everything from the hotel's facade to the bedroom upholstery. Guest rooms are a good size, with traditional furniture and wide windows with skyline views. Baseball fans might want to ask for a view of Camden Yards.
