This Marriott dominates a prime piece of waterfront -- even though it's more than a few steps from the city's best-known attractions and the convention center. Luckily, the water taxi stops nearby. The hotel rises 32 floors above the Harbor East neighborhood. Rooms here are pretty standard, with the added pleasures of down duvets and, of course, that skyline vista. The best views are from the 30th through the 32nd floors, which, naturally, come at a premium. For children, the hotel offers cribs and rollaway beds at no charge, plus a kids' menu in the restaurants.
