Hotel Lohmühle ReviewLocated next to the Mühlbach River and a 5-minute walk from the town center, this hotel opened in 1979, when one of its oldest buildings (a 17th-c. half-timbered mill once used for tanning hides and later grinding grains into wheat) was enlarged with an architecturally compatible (new-but-old-looking) annex and radically upgraded. Today, the two separate sections of this hotel offer an appealing mix of old-fashioned Franconia that's softened with modern amenities, a polite and hardworking staff, and lots of regional charm. Guest rooms are cozy, comfortable, and rustic looking. The hotel's restaurant is also recommended.
