On your way up College Hill from the Mall, you'll pass the 200-year-old Armagh Observatory, still in service but closed to the public. Farther up the hill stands the Astronomy Centre and Planetarium complex, whose Astropark (a scale model of the universe kids can walk through), and Digital Theatre offer an array of exhibits and shows, with hands-on learning opportunities for kids. Planetarium shows must be prebooked and, for some reason, you have to pick up your ticket at least half an hour before it starts.
