This brand-new hotel is owned and run by Massimo Gaudenzio, a friendly and helpful Italian. The hotel is set in a renovated colonial house where rooms range from cozy to large. The upstairs suites are a real bargain for families or those traveling in a large group. Though simple, rooms are tasteful, elegant, and, at this price, the best bang for your buck. Massimo can provide plenty of information about tourist sites, museums, and restaurants. The hotel is located in ultrabohemian Chorro de Quevedo, where plenty of cafes, restaurants, and bars are nearby, though you should be warned the plaza fills with hippie-esque bongo players all day and night Friday and Saturday, though the hotel rooms do a pretty good job of keeping the noise out.
