Frommer's Review
Only 15 minutes from downtown Boston on the subway, this six-story hotel is in a mostly residential area not far from the Longwood Medical Area and Boston University. Because of the location -- which for many travelers is actually a plus -- it charges lower prices than more centrally located hotels for comparable accommodations. Guest rooms, which were renovated in 2006, are large and well appointed, with oversize work desks. Units at the front of the building have more interesting views; they may be slightly noisier because of the busy trolley route below, but double-glazed windows keep the volume down. The bustling Coolidge Corner neighborhood is a 5-minute walk away.
Facilities:
Restaurant (American); lounge; coffee shop; small indoor pool; exercise room; Jacuzzi; shuttle to hospitals; laundry service; same-day dry cleaning; club-level rooms; rooms for those w/limited mobility

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
