Frommer's Review

This luxurious hotel is close to only a few things but convenient to everything. It's popular with both business travelers and families. The CambridgeSide Galleria mall is across the street, the Museum of Science is around the corner, and Kendall Square is 10 minutes away on foot. Even in the midst of all this activity, the hotel feels serene, thanks in part to the helpful staff. Most of the good-size rooms in the 10-story building have lovely views of the river or the city (higher prices are for better views). Everything is custom-designed in modern, comfortable style and regularly refurbished. The closest competition is Hotel Marlowe , across the street, which offers less extensive fitness options (there's no pool) and fewer river views.

Facilities: Restaurant (New American/Mediterranean); cafe w/seasonal outdoor seating; heated indoor/outdoor pool w/retractable roof; well-equipped 24-hr. health club and spa; bike rental (seasonal); concierge; courtesy van; 24-hr. business center; 24-hr. room service; massage; laundry service; dry cleaning; rooms for those w/limited mobility and adjoining standard units are available; staff is trained in disability awareness.
