Hyatt Harborside Review

Primarily a convention and business destination, this striking waterfront hotel is next to the airport ferry dock, 7 minutes from downtown by water taxi. The sizable guest rooms have oversize work desks and a sophisticated no-frills style that contrasts with luxurious touches like pillow-top beds. Large windows afford dramatic views of the harbor and city skyline, especially from higher floors of the 14-story building. Guests have easy access to the airport and the Airport T stop (a 5-min. ride on the hotel or MBTA shuttle bus) and to downtown Boston by water. The airport Hilton is more centrally located and typically beats this hotel on price, but the views here are better.

Facilities:
Restaurant and lounge w/seasonal outdoor seating; concierge; exercise room w/harbor view; Jacuzzi; 40-ft. indoor pool; room service; sauna

About Our System

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.

Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.

The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
